"Posadas" are Mexican traditions celebrated during the Christmas season. These festivities remember the pilgrimage of Mary and Joseph since their departure from Nazareth to Bethlehem, where they look for a place to rest and wait for the birth of baby Jesus. In Posadas, people are divided into two groups, one that stays inside the house (the innkeepers) and another external (the pilgrims) these represent Joseph and Mary who ask for accommodation from innkeepers. You owners of house offer "ponche", sugar cane, orange or tangerine and a bag of sweets and peanuts called aguinaldo, without forget the piñatas filled with candy.
